Ideas For Small Business Marketing For 2022

There’s no shortage of ideas for small business marketing out there. It’s taking those ideas and formulating a plan that seems to be the challenge.

So today, our team will give you 3 easy ideas you can implement into your content marketing strategy for 2022.

Idea #1: Repurpose Your Content

Creating content for social media is a job in itself. In fact, social media marketing can be multiple jobs for multiple people.

If you’re a small business owner, chances are you don’t have time to create content and run your business behind the scenes. But you still need to market yourself.

The time-saving solution to this conundrum is to repurpose your content.

How To Implement It:

Video marketing will probably get you the best ROI for your time. So, film a video (or use stock videos) and repurpose it.

Once you’re done editing, post the videos on Tik Tok, Reels, Pinterest, YouTube Shorts, and even in your emails.

As long as you’re using the right hashtags and keywords, your video is bound to find the right audience.

Idea #2: Answer The Public

Everyone experiences creative ruts. From time to time, even our own digital marketing agency team struggles to develop innovative ideas for small business marketing.

The solution is to give the people what they want. Answers.

Answer the Public is a website where you can find the internet’s most searched questions. You can search within your industry to find the questions your ideal customer is looking for.

That way, you can be the answer.

How To Implement It:

Let’s use an example. Let’s say you’re a small law firm that specializes in divorce cases.

By typing “divorce attorney” into Answer the Public, you’ll find about 200 questions that people ask about this topic.

Two hundred.

That 200 content ideas and 200 ways you can acquire leads just by giving the public answers.

Idea #3: Give Stuff Away

We don’t really believe in one-off social media contests. Especially if the thing you’re giving away has nothing to do with your small business.

What you should be doing is creating a free infographic, template, or eBook with educational content that your target audience needs.

How To Implement It:

Canva is a free design platform that has ready-made eBook templates available. Just type in your copy and download it for an easy freebie you can make in just an hour.

Next, sign up for an email system like Flodesk or Mailchimp. Create a landing page where your audience must input their email to get your highly valuable, educational content. They get a free book, and you get their email!

You're still giving it away for free, but now you get something out of the deal: Leads.
