Director of New Business Development
High Tide Creative New Bern, NC
High Tide Creative, a full-service advertising agency located in New Bern, NC has an immediate opening for a Director of New Business. Responsibility includes development and implementation of strategies to generate new business for the agency, resulting in long-term client relationships and increased revenue. This person must have the ability to close deals and land accounts, have 5-7 years sales experience in prospecting, lead generation, presentations and closing deals. This position will give the right candidate the flexibility to work from a home office. Preferred applicant should be located in a Raleigh, Wilmington or Eastern North Carolina.
Salary will be based on experience and will be a base plus commission structure.
Responsibilities:
Actively managing the sales process
Identifying prospects
Cold calling/mailings
Initiating contact with potential new business
Meeting with and educating prospective prospects about the agency
Understanding the match of a prospects needs with the agencys offering
Building relationships with potential prospects and closing deals
Develop sales strategies for key prospects
Networking
Expansion into additional markets
To excel in this position you must encompasses the following qualifications:
At least 5 years of proven/documented success in outside sales/business development;
preferably in the advertising industry
Business to business sales experience
Experience developing proposals and presentations
Computer proficiency; including Microsoft Office, with a special emphasis on Word and Excel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven experience building client relationships
Self-motivated, a good listener, and detail orientated
Outgoing personality
A college degree in business administration or another business-related field
Advertising or marketing background is preferred, but not required
